... Remember when we were writhing?

One morning I was brewing Columbian coffee, waiting for my best friend to come by and pick me up for an early day down in the city, when I noticed a wasp's carcass lying in the corner of my kitchen windowsill. As I stood there over the coffee pot staring, the wasp's demeanor reminded me of a ballet dancer huddled in some sorrowful agonizing pose just as the song ends and the light fades; though what really caught my eye was the decrepit windowsill around the wasp. In most awe with the swirled, chipping paint along the wood which almost seemed abstract against the summer's morning sun, I rushed to grab my camera and took a few shots. Here's the final, edited photograph. What's it symbolize to you?- A dead bug or something deeper? I would love to read your in depth responses.

  1. Revenge. This picture reminds me of just that. Bees are very revengeful creatures. Willing to sacrifice their lives all to sting a pesky human. Some of which don't even bother the temperamental insect.
I feel it received its just desserts.

    ps. delicious coffee.

  2. Oh la la~ I like that perspective; I didn't even think of it.

And thank you!! I find the Columbian coffee to be much stronger than the French Style. Hehe.
